Whipspider Rubberworks Tentacle Dildo Review

The concept of being penetrated by tentacles is usually the reserve of dodgy black market Japanese hentai movies. But now, thanks to those wonderful people over at Whipspider Rubberworks you too can get fucked by a tentacle!

About the company

In case you’ve never heard of Whipspider Rubberworks I’ll give you a quick rundown. They’re a team of 3 friends from Maine who specialize in hand-made silicone sex toys with a fantasy theme.whipspider-rubberworks-tentacle-dildo

Just the idea of this dildo to me seems so utterly absurd that it kinda gets me off just thinking about it and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on my new Tentacle dildo.

The dildo design

The design of the Tenctacle is that once inserted the rounded tip can be used to stimulate the g-spot and the ’suckers’ running up the length of it will rub your clit. I’ve read somewhere that it’s also safe for anal play, but not having flared base, I would not recommend it.

The material

As with all Whipspider products, it’s made from 100% silicone which is matte, smooth and odor-free. The silicone is pretty firm which makes for easy insertion and g-spot stimulation. It has a blue/purple swirl pattern in the silicone which looks gorgeous.

The shape

The shape and design of this dildo is what makes it such a winner in my book. It’s 7″ long and tapers from a small tip to a base that’s 7″ in circumference! It has a twist to it that makes for an interesting feeling whilst inserting, not to mention the ’suckers’ that run up the length of one side that rub over your clit like something you will have never felt before. The contrast between the smooth back and textured front is fun to play around with, twisting it around whilst inserting to alternate the sensations.

How to clean

Because this toy is made from 100% silicone you should never use silicone-based lubes or alcohol-based cleaners. I always use water-based lubes and this worked just fine with the Tentacle.

It’s dishwasher-safe too, which I would recommend because the textured ’suckers’ seem to retain lube making them very difficult to clean by hand. Once cleaned I would recommend storing it away in a sealed bag of some kind (the one it comes in is perfect). I made the mistake of leaving it out and within a couple of days it was covered in lint and dust.

The packaging is very basic, a zip-lock bag with cleaning/care instructions inside along with the toy.

How did it work?

Using the Whipspider Tentacle is an absolute pleasure, it’s perfect for both g-spot and clitoral stimulation and I found it very easy to reach both g-spot and clitoral orgasms using it. I would definitely recommend this toy to more seasoned sex toy users but would urge newbies to steer clear as it’s extreme width at the base and very textured front length may prove to be a little too much for those more inexperienced out there.
