The ball is made of rubber and has a very strong smell. This starts to subside after the first few uses but has yet to completely disappear. Because it’s made of rubber it’s also very difficult to clean and has a tendency to pick up dust and fibers.
The ball is 2″ in diameter which for me was slightly too large and rested on the top of my teeth, but I do have a particularly small mouth so it’s size should not be an issue for most other people.
Despite the many negative comments I have about the Spartacus Ball Gag it is actually a really good product. It’s well-made, sturdy and very reasonably priced. If you can afford a little extra then I would advise you get a silicone alternative, but if you’re on a budget then this one should fit the bill perfectly.
