Details
...continued from above
The stitching of the leather seems pretty strong and there are no loose threads after a few uses, although it is uneven around the edges, unsurprisingly considering they’re hand-crafted, the uneven stitching is not something that bothers me, but if you’re really bothered about attention to detail this may be an issue for you.
After a few uses they do seem to have stretched a little, although there’s no distortion in the shape of them, it just means that I now need to use the next hole along when buckling them up.
The Spartacus cuffs can be cleaned using a mild soap and water on a damp cloth, then patted dry using a dry towel. After cleaning they should be left out to air dry before being packed away. They should never be submerged in water or the leather can get damaged and rot.
When storing them it’s advisable to not have anything resting on top of them as if they get twisted the leather will hold this shape. I store mine rolled out flat which has so far helped them to keep their shape.
What I love most about the Spartacus cuffs is the purple fur lining. It’s so comfortable against your skin during use that you don’t want to take them off! That combined with the fact that they’re a heavy duty pair of cuffs ensures that these get brought out to play on a very regular basis.
